I have been driving a Volvo truck this week that has a heated fuel filter and also has a device in one of the fuel tanks that heats the fuel, all this coming from the radiator. This is good in the winter but how about when the temp is above freezing?

You want the fuel to be as warm as possible. Unlike gasoline, where the colder the fuel the denser it gets and the more that can be released in the combustion cycle, diesel fuel has to remain warmed up to allow it to go through the injector rails easier,
